The Farming Life - Alumni
Christy is doing a 3 year BTEC Level 3 extended diploma in Agriculture at Plumpton College, East Sussex.
She is currently on her placement Year at a farm in Faversham and at present is assisting the shepherd with all things to do with the sheep (they have over 1600) and will be doing lambing in the next few weeks which she is really looking forward to. She loves what she is doing and is also looking to do some arable farming for the remainder of her placement for a few months.
She drives all sorts of farm machinery, including trailers attached to tractors! See pic below!
Christy then goes back to college in September for her last year.
Currently her preference is to go into sheep farming or arable or both but it would definitely seem that a farming life is for her! She is also going to get her own flock of sheep soon!
