Y12 Aspire day
Today was a TKAT wide year 12 Aspire Day. Our year 12 students were off timetable for the day and were invited to a number of sessions to help them make the important decisions about their future.
The first session was a virtual presentation by Cambridge University on 'Informed Choices', followed by Canterbury Christchurch University talking about 'Student Life and explaining 'Student Loans'.
After break Cambridge returned to talk about 'making yourself competitive'. Followed by Trisha fro ASK to explain Apprenticeship. Next a Senior Google Developer explained the importance of CVs, keeping them current and how LinkedIn works.
At the end of the day, Canterbury Christchurch staff delivered the final workshop on 'personal Statements'.
It was a long day, but full of vital information for all of the students.
