Partners with Parents
In 2024, we launched our Partners with Parents initiative to strengthen communication and collaboration between home and school. Our goal was to bring parents on the journey with us—to open channels that allow us to communicate openly, work together meaningfully, and celebrate the achievements of our students and school community.
We are proud of the progress we’ve made: the relationships we’ve rebuilt since Covid, the renewed sense of partnership, and the incredible commitment shown by our families. Today, we are in a strong position—with a school that is open and approachable, and parents who feel informed, involved, and truly valued.
Our Parent Journey
At Rainham School for Girls, we believe that a strong partnership between parents and school enriches every student’s experience. Our Parent Forum is at the heart of this collaboration, providing a welcoming and inclusive space where parents can actively engage with school life. Through parents’ evenings, ‘parent voice’ opportunities, and ongoing dialogue, we ensure every parent’s perspective is heard and valued.
There are many ways to get involved—from attending performances and career talks to following our social media channels for the latest updates—allowing you to stay connected with your daughter’s learning journey and the wider school community. By fostering open communication and collaboration, we strengthen the home-school partnership and create a community dedicated to helping our girls thrive academically and personally. Together, we can build a brighter future for our children and enrich the vibrant Rainham School for Girls community.
Parent Collaboration Workshops
At the heart of our Parent Collaboration Programme is the belief that education is most powerful when it draws upon the rich skills, experiences, and knowledge within our community. We recognise that our parents hold a wealth of expertise that can inspire, extend, and enrich the learning journeys of our students.
In partnership with our teaching staff and the Parent Forum, we aim to create a dynamic programme of workshops, seminars, and small-group activities that enhance learning across all subjects and areas of interest. By opening our classrooms to parental contributions, we provide students with authentic, real-world perspectives that spark curiosity and broaden horizons.
Building on the success of 2025, where parent volunteers led diverse sessions ranging from art and drama to sport, well-being, and creative projects, we are committed to nurturing this culture of collaboration. Together, we celebrate the joy of learning, strengthen community bonds, and showcase the extraordinary impact of working in partnership to support every child’s growth.

WOW: Our World of Work Seminars
World of Work (WOW) Seminars – Calling on Our Parents!
At Rainham School for Girls, we are dedicated to preparing our students for the future by showcasing the wide variety of careers and pathways open to them. Our World of Work (WOW) Seminars provide a unique opportunity for students to hear directly from parents within our school community about their jobs and educational journeys.
Our students are naturally curious about the careers of the people around them—and who better to inspire them than you? By sharing your experiences, you show students that learning is relevant, exciting, and achievable. Your stories help them understand the skills, determination, and opportunities that shape different careers, giving them a real-world perspective that textbooks alone can’t provide.
