BAE Roadshow
The BAE - Royal Navy - Royal Air Force Roadshow
Year 7, then Year 8, were magnetised by the exciting magnetism/electromagnetism roadshow. The students discovered how many components in small, big and very big machines were governed by magnets and electromagnets. From tiny vibrating screws, to giant traps for aircraft on aircraft carriers. They were encouraged to consider engineering as a career option as well as all STEM related careers.
There was of course, some 'magic', but it was the magic of magnets!
