The Wellbeing Garden

Well-being Garden

The Well-being Garden was officially opened today by Dr Roberts, Mrs Shaw and the winners of the art competition to coincide with Mental Health Awareness week.

The garden has been created as a safe place, a green space for relaxation, reflection, conversations, time out and much more.  Lockdown has been difficult for many of us and if it has taught us one thing it has been to look after our mental health more.

A competition was organised to design some artwork on the theme of nature and wellbeing, to echo the theme of Mental Health Awareness week.  Winners Emily and Sonya in Year 12, Amy in Year 9, Jaimea in Year 8 and Umayrah in Year 7 have had their art work installed in the garden and were there at the opening to celebrate the event.
