🌟 Sixth Form Open Evening – What an Incredible Night! 🌟 This evening we were absolutely overwhelmed by the turnout for our Sixth Form Open Evening! It was fantastic to see so many Year 11 students — both from our own school community and from other schools — exploring what makes our Sixth Form such a popular choice for post-16 study. Our main hall was fit to bursting, and we even had to open our overflow rooms to accommodate all of our wonderful visitors. Parents and carers enjoyed a range of subject talks across five different areas, following an inspiring main presentation in the hall. With 32 exciting course options to choose from — including BTEC Travel, BTEC Dance, BTEC Medical Science, BTEC IT, BTEC Business, Health & Social Care, Psychology, Criminology, Media, Chemistry, History, Physics, Photography, PE, Fine Art, Sociology, Maths, Biology, Drama, Textiles, Philosophy & Ethics, Graphics, Government & Politics, Law, and English Language & Literature — it’s no wonder our Sixth Form continues to grow in popularity. We are also proud to be the top non-selective school in Medway for outcomes, a testament to the dedication of our staff and the hard work of our students. A huge thank you to all the students, parents, and carers who joined us this evening. We hope you enjoyed hearing from our passionate staff and learning more about what makes our Sixth Form a vibrant, supportive, and ambitious place to study. We can’t wait to welcome our next cohort in September – if tonight is anything to go by, it’s going to be an amazing year ahead! 💙 #SixthForm #OpenEvening #TopSchoolInMedway #FutureStartsHere #Post16 #StudentSuccess

Our students had a truly insightful and moving assembly with Phil, Poppy Appeal Manager for West Kent, learning about the incredible work of The Royal British Legion! 🎖️ We explored how the funds raised through The Poppy Appeal are used to provide vital support to servicemen and women, veterans, and their families. From mental health support to financial aid and care, it was eye-opening to understand the profound impact these donations have. One student shared, "I was unaware of how the money raised was actually used, and it was really interesting to know more about The Poppy Appeal and how the local community can support one another." This feedback truly highlights the importance of understanding the 'why' behind our fundraising efforts. Upcoming Commemoration: On Tuesday, 11th November, we will respectfully observe a two-minute silence to commemorate those who have fought and lost their lives in conflict. We encourage all students and staff to reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom. Wear Your Service Uniform: We extend a special invitation to students who are members of Scouts, Cadets, Guides, or similar service organisations. On Tuesday, 11th November, you are welcome to wear your full service uniform to school instead of your regular school uniform, as a mark of respect and pride. Please ensure all uniform components are clean and tidy. Support The Poppy Appeal: Poppies will also be on sale on the gate each morning for a small donation, with all proceeds going directly to The Poppy Appeal. Your support helps the Royal British Legion continue its invaluable work. Let's remember together. #LestWeForget #PoppyAppeal #RoyalBritishLegion #CommunitySupport #SchoolAssembly #RemembranceDay #RainhamRemembers #PoppiesAndPeace

RSG’s 2025 Remembrance Art installation has seen a huge community effort from our students, to parents, grandparents and staff, to create over 1000 crocheted poppies. These were constructed to form a cascading waterfall from floor to ceiling, the reality of this all coming together is truly both breathtaking and moving.
