Continuing the Festive Cheer at RSG, this week our ACE Ambassadors delivered many thoughtful gifts donated by our wonderful school community to the residents at Platter’s Farm residential home. The Year 7 choir also beautifully sang a selection of songs and Carols for the residents to enjoy. The students then spent some time chatting to the residents and demonstrated excellently our CARE values, well done everyone! 🎄

Congratulations to Mrs Andrews who has spent part of the last week before Christmas training at Lincoln College, Oxford University completing a course to support students applying to Oxford University. As well as brushing up on personal statements and interviews, Mrs Andrews also got to experience student life, staying in a university room as well as experiencing a formal Oxfords University dinner. As a school we benefit from Mrs Andrews’ knowledge of applying to top universities to study law, with many law students going on to prestigious universities, and we are looking forward to her putting her new knowledge in practice! 🏫🎓

Huge thank you to Innovate for their recent donations of herbs, bulbs, seeds and planters with beautiful wooden sign for our ever developing school garden. The morning was spent with students planting herbs and then harvesting the potatoes they had grown. The potatoes were then cleaned, cooked and eaten by the students as “Rainham Roasties!” for their Christmas dinners in the school diner. 🥔🌽🥕🥦

We celebrated 200 blue star ticket winners and some of our attendance heroes with a festive “Home Alone” movie with hot chocolate, cream and marshmallows of course!  Cozy magic, a lot of happy smiles and zero "Kevins" left behind! All blue star tickets are back in the draw for more treats next term, so if you missed out today, keep collecting to be in the draw for treats and prizes next time!

✨ A Day of Professional Inspiration: New Adventures Workshop! ✨ Our Sixth Form Dance students had an absolutely unforgettable experience today! We welcomed the brilliant Paul and Shelby from New Adventures, Sir Matthew Bourne's internationally renowned dance company. The students were truly privileged to spend a whole day immersing themselves in original repertoire from the iconic production of "Swan Lake," followed by intensive devising and performance sessions. Paul and Shelby were incredibly complimentary of our students' talent and dedication. They commented that it was "wonderful to see a school where dance is clearly a strength," and praised our commitment to keeping dance alive in education. A huge well done to all the dancers involved! This is a memory that will inspire their future studies and careers. We are already looking forward to our next collaboration with New Adventures! #NewAdventures #MatthewBourne #DanceWorkshop #SixthForm #ArtsEducation #ProudSchool
