✨ Big Dreams, Bright Futures! ✨ Today, our Stellar students in Years 8, 9, and 10 took a deep dive into the world of higher education! 🎓 We hosted an inspiring session exploring the incredible opportunities that university life has to offer. From the application process to the amazing social side of things, our students are already starting to think big. Here is what some of our Year 9s had to say: “The talk was enjoyable, interesting and helpful. With clear information given about the application process.” — Arabella S. “The talk was helpful and engaging with lots of activities to make the detailed information given fun and interesting.” — Chaithanyaa “University sounds so inclusive with all the societies and opportunities available to students that go there.” — Beau W. “The talk was really inspiring. There are so many opportunities for people to study so many different things.” — Sahasra P. It’s never too early to start exploring your passions and seeing where they can take you. We are so proud of our students for their engagement and curiosity today! 🌟

Zoe, an ex-student and now a Social Media Manager, recently led an engaging workshop for over 40 of our students. She shared insights into her career journey, qualifications, and how she built valuable industry experience. Students then took part in a hands-on activity, where they were tasked with storyboarding a video for their own campaign, putting their creativity and learning into practice.

We are so proud of our year 13 students who have spent the last few months applying for university, and a record 83% of our students have applied to over 100 universities across the UK and beyond, mixing Oxford and lots of competitive ‘Russell Group’ Universities, with local universities. Thank you to our year 13s for their aspiration, resilience, and diligence in completing their UCAS applications, and we look forward to tracking their progress over the next few months as they secure their futures

🌟 Big Steps in Personal Development! 🌟 We are incredibly impressed by the energy in our PD lessons lately! Our students are making huge progress toward their Bronze Award and are already pushing even further. 🥉✨ To keep this momentum going, we have a few important reminders for our hard-working students: 📢 Return Your Certificates: If you have any certificates at home, they must be brought back into school and handed in for your files. We need these safe in your folders to track your amazing achievements! 🔍 Stay Alert: Opportunities to grow and earn points are everywhere—in the classroom, on the sports field, and across all aspects of school life. Keep your eyes peeled for ways to level up. 🏆 Keep Them Coming: Your hard work is paying off so keep earning those awards and showing us what you can do! We are so incredibly proud of the way our students are keeping their P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Keep up the fantastic work, everyone! 👏🎓 #PersonalDevelopment #StudentSuccess #BronzeAward #PROMISE #SchoolCommunity Achievement

Continuing the Festive Cheer at RSG, this week our ACE Ambassadors delivered many thoughtful gifts donated by our wonderful school community to the residents at Platter’s Farm residential home. The Year 7 choir also beautifully sang a selection of songs and Carols for the residents to enjoy. The students then spent some time chatting to the residents and demonstrated excellently our CARE values, well done everyone! 🎄

Congratulations to Mrs Andrews who has spent part of the last week before Christmas training at Lincoln College, Oxford University completing a course to support students applying to Oxford University. As well as brushing up on personal statements and interviews, Mrs Andrews also got to experience student life, staying in a university room as well as experiencing a formal Oxfords University dinner. As a school we benefit from Mrs Andrews’ knowledge of applying to top universities to study law, with many law students going on to prestigious universities, and we are looking forward to her putting her new knowledge in practice! 🏫🎓
